firstly, who you are:
(S) as understood by yourself,
(dos) as perceived by other people.
secondly, what you do:
(dos) for others,
(S) more importantly, for yourself.
Success, or deviations of success, are found in two places.
firstly, in the ears of followers.
followers are drawn to sources from which praise comes.
it may sound like hurrahs,
but the faint voices of others are heard only by one--
those who wait to hear it.
end destinations will not be byproducts of hard work or victory,
rather pits filled with burnt remnants when fuel was added to ash.
it's an uncompromising component of character,
fueled by right reason and a willingness to challenge all fail.
there is no win, lose, or draw for there is no other opponent.
Success is not for recognition or the pride of a job well done.
it's not for a pat on the back or an empty compliment.
echoing applause is redundant,
when glory has always come from within
if my passive aggressiveness isn't forward enough,
let me put this in layman's term.
stand back. though i may be quiet, i've never had a faint voice.
you can try to do things for other people to make up for your lack of (cap)ability. it's a coping mechanism that'll help you feel better about yourself because you get what you lack from others: a sense of meaningfulness. it's easy to sense greatness when you're led to believe you've reached it.. but if you discard the confounds of outsiders, what will you be left with? what if your fate leads you to die alone? will you feel equally as good about yourself when there is no one around, prompting you with thoughts of being lifted to higher grounds?
surely, Success has different standards of measurement but that isn't an excuse to mistake weaknesses for strengths.
if i died tomorrow, i would want to be remembered for what i did.
for myself, to myself, by myself.
