i'm basing my project off of how this song makes me feel. i'm gonna sculpt faces with the different expressions. you know, try to capture the essence of the song. let me show you, tell me what you think.

is that english? are those even words? or is that just noise?
i'm not really sure.. just listen. are you getting anything from it?
i don't know what you're asking. it's not making me feel any way in particular? i like it though, it's a good song. what do you "get" from it?
i imagine someone waking up hazy, treading to work, and standing amidst other factory workers who have similarly blank expressions on their faces. everything's black and white at this point. no one's thinking for themselves, they just do as they're told. that's what they've been taught. that's all they know. ahh, and then you hear the break? with the voices fainting in and out? and the strumming? i just imagine someone seeing flashes of color. he starts to get flashbacks of what it was like before he was brainwashed and turned into a working ant. when he was still able to feel, think, do whatever freely. but then the strumming ends and it returns to that same melancholy and unclear voice. he snaps out of the momentarily euphoric state and gets back to work. it's sad, because he gets so close to having a breakthrough but he never quite makes it.. he's aware of his obligations and attached to his duties. he needs to keep up with those around him. in my mind, it's a metaphoric representation of how society pushes people to move forward, but it might not be in the right direction. forward is all. but yeah, that's what i get from the song.
-pause-
am i crazy?
no, you're just creative.
creative.. a socially acceptable form of crazy.
haha, alright then. i like you crazy.
