this past year, i have learned three important lessons:

1. choose the people you have in your life very carefully. 
if you choose to let shitty people be in life, you will have a shitty life. if you choose fucking awesome people to be in your life, you will have a fucking awesome life. why have i never thought of this before? idiot.

2. stand your ground and value yourself.
don't let bitter people talk down on you and kill your vibe. don't let stupid people argue with you if it's pointless. don't wait around for stubborn people to stop being stubborn. if you know you're right about something, fight for it til your death.. cause even if you die, at least you don't have to live knowing you lost to an incompetent bastard. ha. but if you're wrong, own up to it and say sorry. there's no shame in fessing up to fix a problem, but letting your ego ruin something that can be worked out is childish.

3. don't be scared. of anything or of anyone. 
don't let bad experiences get in the way of the most essential part of being a human- feeling. feel whatever you want! be real with yourself. don't let others dictate your life. don't be scared to feel.  it's exhilarating, really.
